backyard dinosaur #5

man oh man... i've fallen way behind on my posts!

all i can say is when you see the results of the first round of the OH-lympic ice hockey and the aftermath, you'll understand why i haven't been able to post as much as i'd been hoping too... stay tuned!

getting myself back on track here is july's installment of backyard dinosaurs (yes i know its supposed to be weekly, but we've run out of those)...

a steller's jay (Cyanocitta stelleri) i saw hanging the mountains of vancouver.

I wonder how that hockey game went, Traum! You'll be bringing us up to speed soon, right?

Steller's jays are so neat, I saw them in Vancouver quite a lot. Of course, the most common corvids there have to be the crows.

i won't give away any specific spoilers on the game... let's just say a lot of unexpected things happened in BOTH games though!

as for the stellar's they are pretty above all else. a bit cheeky too! this one was stealing fries and scraps from a resturant by our figure skating event...
